Egyptian Chamomile Herbal Tea

Egyptian Chamomile Herbal Tea

Our Egyptian Chamomile is made from the highest quality chamomile sourced from Egypt. This single-ingredient herbal tea is characterized by large, fragrant chamomile flower heads, and brews up into a lovely gold-colored infusion, with a mellow natural sweetness and notes of straw, honey, and apples.

Cups Per Package

This luxury loose leaf tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 1.5 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 35 - 40 cups of tea. Our 3 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 70 - 80 cups.

Ingredients

Egyptian chamomile. (Origin: Egypt)

Tasting Notes

Mild, floral, and sweet, with notes of straw, honey, and apples.

How To Brew Egyptian Chamomile

Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water to a full boil. Steep for 5 minutes or more.

We recommend using a teapot, tea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup. Egyptian Chamomile won’t become bitter when steeped for a longer period of time. Chamomile also makes a great base for tea cocktails!

Egyptian Chamomile Caffeine Content

This herbal tea is naturally caffeine-free.

Egyptian Chamomile Benefits

Chamomile is soothing and good for sleep.

More About Egyptian Chamomile

Chamomile has been used as a folk remedy and soothing herbal infusion for hundreds of years. Ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians all revered chamomile for its medicinal properties, and today chamomile is still used around the world for its soothing, nourishing effects. The English word “chamomile” is derived from the Greek word khamaimēlon, meaning “earth apple,” which refers to chamomile’s characteristic apple-like sweetness.

Today, chamomile used for tea is often grown in Egypt. Egyptian chamomile is of extremely high quality, and is notable for its natural sweetness. While commercial chamomile found in teabags or sachets is often made of broken dust and fannings leftover from the largest flower heads, high-quality chamomile is distinguished by its large, fragrant flower heads and exceptional flavor.

Our Egyptian Chamomile is composed of large, fragrant flowerheads of the highest quality. This makes for an exceptionally flavorful tea with a notable natural sweetness. While Egyptian Chamomile is delicious on its own, it’s also great with a spoonful of honey for an extra sweet, soothing treat.
